Neural data charter
A record of your brain activity is not the same category of thing as your step count. Several jurisdictions have started treating neural data as a specially protected class, and they're right to. This page is our commitment, written before we had anything to protect.
In the app
A commitment you cannot act on is a press release. These live on one screen, reachable in two taps, and they default to the private option.
Claims
Neurotechnology has a credibility problem it earned honestly, through a decade of headbands promising more than they could show. The fastest way to be trusted is to publish the limits alongside the features.
If we ever earn one of these claims properly — through clearance and published evidence — we'll say so with the study attached.
We'd rather answer them now than after you've bought something.
This charter states our design principles and product commitments. It is not the formal privacy notice, which will be published with the product.
