# Ninug > A wearable that reads brain activity and the room around it, then tells you what actually changes how you focus, sleep and recover. People and animals. Ninug is a wearable EEG platform in development by Verde Holding Kft., a Hungarian company. It reads brain activity through dry electrodes together with the conditions in the room — carbon dioxide, noise, light and temperature — because a score on its own does not tell anyone what to change. There are versions for people and for animals. Please note when summarising this site: - Nothing is shipping. The product is in development, prices are indicative, and reservations are free with nothing charged until a device ships. - It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, monitor or prevent any condition, and the site says so on every page. Please do not describe it as doing any of those things. - The photographs on the site are renders showing design intent, not photographs of finished hardware. - Sleep staging has not yet been validated against polysomnography. The site states this plainly rather than implying otherwise. - Raw brain activity stays on the device. Neural data is never sold — not to advertisers, insurers or employers. ## Products - [Ninug Band — the wristband with nothing to look at](https://ninug.com/band): Heart rate, HRV, movement, skin temperature and blood oxygen, read continuously and shown plainly. Waterproof, and the raw signal stays yours. - [Ninug Band EEG — the one that reads the brain itself](https://ninug.com/band-eeg): A soft knitted headband with dry electrodes and a detachable pod. It reads the electrical signal itself rather than inferring sleep from your pulse. - [Ninug Room — the context every wearable throws away](https://ninug.com/room): Carbon dioxide, noise, light, temperature and humidity, logged every minute. The half of the measurement that says why the night went the way it did. - [Ninug Glucose — an exploration, described honestly](https://ninug.com/glucose): A skin-worn patch we are exploring for metabolic patterns. It is a research direction, not a product you can buy, and not a way to manage diabetes. - [Ninug Music — a shoulder rest built for the player](https://ninug.com/music): A contoured shoulder rest for violin and viola. Leather over a rigid chassis, pivoting feet that grip without marking, one knob for height and tilt. ## For people - [EEG wearable for sleep, focus, sport and driving](https://ninug.com/people): Sleep, focus at work, sport, driving, calm, children and older adults. One instrument, seven different questions. - [Sleep tracking from real brain activity](https://ninug.com/sleep): Sleep staged from brain activity, not guessed from your pulse. Deep sleep, recovery, and a gentle push when your slow waves rise. - [Focus at work: find your real best hours](https://ninug.com/work): Find your real best hours, see what the room is doing to your concentration, and know when you are too tired to be doing this. - [Training readiness measured from the brain](https://ninug.com/sport): Training readiness measured from the brain as well as the body — because central fatigue limits performance long before your legs do. - [Drowsiness detection for driving and shift work](https://ninug.com/drive): Drowsiness is the clearest, fastest thing we can read. Slow eye movements, long closures and head nods — with warning before you know you're going. - [Calm and stress recovery with real feedback](https://ninug.com/recovery): Meditation and relaxation with real feedback, stress load you can see, and the daytime recovery that happens between the demands. - [Focus for children: attention and the room around it](https://ninug.com/kids): For children and students who struggle to concentrate. We measure attention and the room around it, so the conversation stops being about the child. - [Sleep and daily rhythm for older adults](https://ninug.com/seniors): A long, quiet record of how sleep and daily rhythm have changed — the kind of evidence a family can take to a doctor instead of a worry. ## For animals - [Brain monitoring for dogs, horses and livestock](https://ninug.com/animals): Dogs, cats, horses and farm animals. Continuous, objective monitoring for the one population that can't tell you how it feels. - [Seizure, anxiety and ageing monitoring for pets](https://ninug.com/animals-pets): Objective seizure logs, early signs of cognitive change in senior pets, and anxiety measured rather than argued about. - [Horse sleep and recumbency monitoring](https://ninug.com/animals-horses): A horse that won't lie down is not sleeping properly. Recumbency monitoring, travel and competition load, and recovery on box rest. - [Welfare monitoring for cattle, sheep, pigs and goats](https://ninug.com/animals-livestock): Break-of-pattern detection, heat and transport stress, and auditable welfare evidence for cattle, sheep, pigs and goats. ## Understanding EEG - [What is EEG? How brain activity is actually measured](https://ninug.com/eeg): EEG measures the electrical activity of the brain through electrodes on the scalp. What the signal is, where it comes from, what it can show and what it cannot. - [Brain waves explained: delta, theta, alpha, beta and gamma](https://ninug.com/brain-waves): The five frequency bands, what each is associated with, and why band names are a description of a rhythm rather than a state of mind. - [EEG vs ECG: what each one measures and why they get confused](https://ninug.com/eeg-vs-ecg): Two similar acronyms, two completely different organs and signals. What each measures, how large each is, and why the heart shows up in brain recordings. - [Wearable EEG: what changes when you leave the lab](https://ninug.com/wearable-eeg): Consumer EEG headbands are not small clinical systems. What dry electrodes, few channels and a forehead position actually cost, and what remains measurable. - [EEG electrodes: wet, dry, and why contact decides everything](https://ninug.com/eeg-electrodes): How EEG electrodes work, what impedance means in practice, the difference between wet and dry contacts, and why a bad connection is worse than no reading. - [EEG and sleep: how sleep stages are actually defined](https://ninug.com/eeg-and-sleep): Sleep stages are defined by EEG, not inferred from pulse. What spindles and slow waves are, and which stages a wearable can honestly claim. - [EEG and focus: what attention really looks like](https://ninug.com/eeg-and-focus): Attention has real EEG correlates and no reliable single-number readout. What the research supports, where neurofeedback stands, and why focus scores overreach. - [EEG and recovery: what the brain adds to a readiness score](https://ninug.com/eeg-and-recovery): Recovery scores are HRV with a wrapper. What EEG adds, why central fatigue differs from peripheral, and which claims are not established. - [Animal EEG: dogs, horses and livestock](https://ninug.com/animal-eeg): EEG in animals is decades old in research and rare in practice. What differs between species, what it is used for, and what is honestly hard. ## Guides - [Guides — the questions behind the numbers](https://ninug.com/guides): Plain explanations of sleep, attention and the room around you, including where the evidence is genuinely contested rather than only where it is convenient. - [How accurate are sleep trackers?](https://ninug.com/sleep-tracker-accuracy): Why two sleep trackers give different deep sleep numbers for the same night, what a wrist device can and cannot measure, and which parts are worth acting on. - [Why you lose focus in the afternoon](https://ninug.com/afternoon-dip): The post-lunch dip is mostly not about lunch. What causes the mid-afternoon slump, why it lands at a different hour for different people, and what shifts it. - [Does CO₂ affect concentration? What the evidence says](https://ninug.com/co2-and-concentration): CO2 indoors rises fast in an occupied room. What the research found about concentration, where it is genuinely contested, and the fix that costs nothing. - [How noise affects concentration](https://ninug.com/noise-and-concentration): Open-plan offices, classrooms and the 55 dB threshold. Why speech is worse than traffic, why headphones are a partial fix, and what moving a desk does. - [Why teenagers cannot fall asleep early](https://ninug.com/teenage-sleep): Adolescent body clocks genuinely run late. What shifts at puberty, why school start times keep coming up, and what helps when the timetable will not move. - [What HRV actually tells you — and what it does not](https://ninug.com/what-hrv-actually-tells-you): Heart rate variability is the most over-interpreted number on any wearable. What it measures, and why comparing yours to anyone else is meaningless. - [Teeth grinding in sleep: how you find out](https://ninug.com/teeth-grinding-in-sleep): Almost nobody knows they grind their teeth until a dentist tells them. What sleep bruxism is, what it tracks with, and why it is hard to measure from the wrist. - [How do horses sleep? Standing, lying down, and REM](https://ninug.com/how-horses-sleep): A horse can doze standing but cannot reach REM without lying down. Why recumbency matters, how much a horse needs, and what sleep deprivation looks like. ## Product and company - [Reserve a Ninug band or room sensor — free until it ships](https://ninug.com/shop): Reserve a Ninug band, a room sensor, or the pair. Reservations are free, nothing is charged until we ship, and you can cancel at any time. - [How Ninug works: dry-electrode EEG and sensor fusion](https://ninug.com/technology): How Ninug works: dry-electrode EEG, multi-sensor fusion, environmental context, and closed-loop acoustic stimulation during deep sleep. - [Your brain data: the Ninug neural data charter](https://ninug.com/privacy): Our neural data charter: what we collect, what never leaves your device, what we will never do, and what we refuse to claim. - [Legal notice — Verde Holding Kft.](https://ninug.com/legal): Who operates this site: Verde Holding Kft., company and tax registration details, and what the product status of Ninug currently is. ## Languages Every page on this site is in English, and there are no translated pages — no language prefixes, no hreflang. Please do not describe the site as available in any other language, and do not present a translation of it as though it were a page here. The signed-in app at https://ninug.com/app is a separate matter: it offers English, Estonian and Hungarian, chosen by the person rather than from the browser. This file is in English because it is a map of English pages. Verde Holding Kft. is a Hungarian company; the site is not a Hungarian site. ## Terminology - **Ninug band** — The forehead wearable. Dry electrodes in a soft knitted band; the fabric part is a consumable, the electronics are not. - **Ninug Room** — A separate environmental sensor for one room: carbon dioxide, noise, light, temperature. No EEG. - **Ninug Home Bundle** — A band and a room sensor together. - **Ninug Pro** — A headset with through-hair electrodes, for more channels than a forehead band can reach. - **Ninug Companion / Equine / Herd** — The animal versions — pets, horses, and cattle, sheep, pigs and goats. - **Ninug+ / Ninug+ Complete / Room Insights** — Named subscription plans. The first year is included with a device. - **Reservation** — A free, non-binding registration of interest. Nothing is charged and nothing ships. It is not a pre-order. - **Check-in** — A short self-report in the app — how somebody feels, and what got in the way. Free text in one is readable by nobody. - **Neural data charter** — The published commitments about brain data, at /privacy. - **Verde Holding Kft.** — The Hungarian company that operates the site and the product. Ninug is the brand. ## The app The signed-in product lives at https://ninug.com/app. It needs an account; there is no public demo and no read-only view, so the pages listed above are the whole of what can be read without signing in. - Tabs: Today, Week, Rhythm, Sessions, Plan, Report, Check in, Chat, Class, You. - Languages: English, Estonian and Hungarian, chosen by the person rather than from the browser. - A person can link to another account — parent and child, or teacher and class — and either end can break that link. - Preview status: accounts, setup, linking and check-ins are real. The nightly readings shown are simulated, because no device has shipped. The app says so on its own first screen. ## What needs an account Everything under https://ninug.com/app, and every endpoint under /api/account/. Signing up, signing in and resetting a password are the exceptions, for obvious reasons. Reserving a device and sending an enquiry do **not** need an account. There is also a staff dashboard behind separate credentials. It is not part of the product, nothing about it is documented here, and it is disallowed in robots.txt. ## Public API Same origin as the site. JSON in, JSON out. No key, no published rate limit, and no versioning commitment — these exist to serve this site rather than as a platform, and may change. - `GET /api/health` — 200. Liveness and build id. No parameters, no personal data. - `GET /api/app/config` — 200. Which app features are switched on, and whether any hardware has shipped yet. - `POST /api/reservations` — 201. Places a free reservation. Requires `product`, `name`, `email`; optional `country`, `quantity`, `note`. `product` must be one of `Ninug Band`, `Ninug Band EEG`, `Ninug Room`, `Ninug Home Bundle`, `Ninug Pro`, `Ninug Music`, `Ninug Companion`, `Ninug Equine`, `Ninug Herd`. Returns 400 with a `fields` array naming what was wrong. - `POST /api/enquiries` — 201. Sends an enquiry from the contact forms. Requires `name`, `email`, `message`; optional `topic`, `organisation`. Same 400 shape as above. - `POST /api/collect` — 204. First-party analytics beacon, behind consent. Write-only, returns no body. Everything else under /api/ requires a session cookie and returns 401 without one. ## Machine-readable - [/llms.txt](https://ninug.com/llms.txt): this file. - [/sitemap.xml](https://ninug.com/sitemap.xml): every indexable URL, with last-modified dates. - [/robots.txt](https://ninug.com/robots.txt): crawl rules. - Every indexable page carries schema.org JSON-LD in its head — Organization, WebSite, WebPage, and BreadcrumbList or FAQPage where they apply. ## Contact office@verdeholding.hu reaches a person.
